was established in 1949 as a complex geological expedition in the field of exploration prospecting works within Varna region. In its long-term history of activities, nevertheless the numerous reorganizations, the company preserved its complex character and rich traditions.
in the vicinity of Staro Oriahovo, Preseltzy, Goren Bliznak, Varna, Tulenovo, Kaliakra, Kamen Briag and Shabla were directed in oil & gas exploration, resulting in the first discovery of oil field in Bulgaria (Tulenovo) at the end of May 1951.
the delineation of a salt stock located in the vicinity of Mirovo village near Provadia town was under process one year later, laying the grounds for the setting.
